The 2016 Lewisham Awards were held in June this year at a glittering Las Vegas themed event at The Langham Hotel. The awards, named after Richard Lewisham who was a pioneer of the Auckland hospitality scene, celebrate excellence within the Auckland Hospitality sector. For the past 14 years those working in this exciting and ever changing industry have taken the opportunity to have their say as to who they think are the best of the best in 18 different categories. As the results are decided by their peers, these awards are highly prized and tightly fought.

Negociants New Zealand are proud to sponsor the Negociants Outstanding Wine Service Professional Award, and this year it was won by Andy Gladding of The French Café.

Al Brown’s Depot won the award for Outstanding Establishment to add to their award of Best Inner City Bistro at the Metro Peugeot Restaurant of the Year Awards.

A new category was added this year, Outstanding Street Food which was awarded to The Lucky Taco.
