Nautilus Launches Three New Wines

Nautilus Launches Three New Wines

Left Conatiner

Nautilus Estate launched ‘The Paper Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2015’ and two inaugural release 2014 Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs into the NZ market, during an event held at the “Top of the Town” at the Pullman Hotel, on the 4th August 2016.

The three new release wines are the result of an accumulation of knowledge and experience with specific vineyard sites in the Marlborough region. They have literally been a long time in the making.

The launch started with a glimpse into the past, with an eight vintage vertical Chardonnay tasting from 2008 to 2015.

The Paper Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2015 was then tasted beside the classic style Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2015.

The third flight comprised the new single vineyard Nautilus Awatere Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014 and Nautilus Clay Hills Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014. Also being released at the event was the Nautilus Pinot Noir 2014, now bearing the words Southern Valleys on the label to note that the grapes grown for this wine are predominantly from Marlborough’s prestige Pinot Noir sub-region.

The event was hosted by Nautilus Estate Managing Director Clive Weston and winemakers Clive Jones and Brett Bermingham, who hosted a large group of friends, colleagues, trade and media.
