Staff Christmas Lunch & Awards 2018
This year, the Negociants team celebrated the 2018 year with lunch at The Sugar Club. We were very lucky to have the whole restaurant to ourselves and kicked off with Col de’Salici Prosecco and canapes while watching some of the more adventurous members of our group do the Skywalk around the outside of the Sky tower. We then sat down for a terrific four course lunch matched to some wonderful wines from the Negociants portfolio.
Long term staff members were presented with tenure key rings by Negociants Managing Director, Clive Weston, who himself has been with the company for 29 years. The tenure key rings are a new initiative by the S. Smith & Son group to acknowledge and reward the loyalty and contribution an employee has given to the company. The key rings are made from materials sourced at Yalumba winery, specifically galvanised new barrel for the 5 year keyring, ‘rusted’ barrel for the 10 year keyring, copper still piping for the 15 year keyring. At 21 years of service, employees are then recognised as VSOP (Very Special Old People).
